This guide walks you through the steps for transferring most common domain types, such as .com, .net, and .co.uk.
🔐 Step 1: Prepare Your Domain for Transfer
Before starting the transfer from your current provider:

Unlock the domain (remove registrar lock)

Obtain the EPP/Auth code (also called a transfer key or domain password)

Ensure WHOIS contact details are correct

Disable any domain privacy or protection services

Make sure the domain hasn’t been registered or transferred in the last 60 days

🚀 Step 2: Start the Transfer in Your Client Area

Log in to https://my.ecowebhosting.co.uk

Go to Domains > Transfer a Domain to Us

Enter the domain you’d like to transfer

Provide the EPP/Auth code (if required)

Click Add to Cart and proceed to checkout
🕒 Step 3: Wait for Confirmation
Once the transfer is submitted:

You may receive an email asking you to confirm the transfer (for gTLDs like
.com) -
Most transfers complete within 24–72 hours, depending on the domain type and current registrar

You’ll be able to manage the domain fully from your Eco Web Hosting client area — including DNS, renewals, and contact details.
